Possible Causes
Blown internal fuse on control PCB, Faulty mains power cord, Failed control PCB power supply, Faulty mains socket
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Ensure the unit is unplugged before opening any covers. Do not bypass safety fuses.
- Check the outlet: Test the wall socket with another appliance. If the socket is dead, reset the circuit breaker or use a different outlet.
- Inspect the power cord: Look for cuts, fraying, or burn marks along the cord. If damaged, the cord or entire unit should be replaced.
- Internal fuse check (advanced): Remove the housing to access the control PCB. Locate the small glass or ceramic fuse near the power input. Test for continuity with a multimeter. If blown, replace only with the same type and rating.
- Check for board damage: Look for burnt components or bulging capacitors on the PCB. If present, the board is unsafe and should be replaced, not repaired at home.
- Professional repair: If the fuse is intact and there is no visible damage but the unit remains dead, the internal power supply or microcontroller has likely failed. Contact a qualified technician or Tower support.
