Possible Causes
Overheating triggering thermal cut-out, Loose mains connection, Faulty control PCB, Intermittent basket safety switch
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug and allow the unit to cool before inspection.
- Check ventilation and loading: Ensure adequate space around the unit and avoid overfilling the basket, which can cause overheating.
- Inspect power cord and plug: Look for signs of damage or loose fit in the socket. Try a different outlet.
- Basket switch test: Slightly wiggle the drawer during operation (carefully) to see if movement causes shutdown. If so, the basket microswitch or latch may be faulty and should be adjusted or replaced.
- Thermal cut-out check (advanced): If the unit restarts only after cooling, the thermal cut-out may be tripping early due to age or poor airflow. Clean vents and consider replacing the thermal cut-out if it trips at normal temperatures.
