Air fryer trips the household circuit breaker or RCD when plugged in or turned on.

Safety first: Do not repeatedly reset the breaker without finding the cause. Unplug the air fryer before inspection.

• Check cord and plug: Inspect the mains cord and plug for cuts, crushed sections, or burn marks. If damaged, the unit should not be used until the cord is replaced.
• Dry the unit: If the air fryer was recently cleaned or exposed to steam, allow it to dry in a warm, dry place for 24–48 hours, then test again.
• Inspect internal wiring (advanced): Remove the housing and look for wires touching sharp metal edges, burnt insulation, or signs of arcing near the heater and fan motor.
• Element and motor test: Use a multimeter to check resistance from each heater and motor terminal to the metal chassis. Any low resistance (near 0Ω) indicates a short to earth and the component must be replaced.
• Professional service: If you cannot locate the fault or are not comfortable testing, contact a qualified electrician or appliance technician. Do not use the air fryer until repaired.
