Possible Causes
Seized or obstructed fan blades, Failed fan motor, Loose fan motor connector, Faulty fan driver circuit on control PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the Tower air fryer and let it cool. Do not insert fingers or tools into the fan area while the unit is connected to power.
- Check for obstructions: Remove the basket and drawer. Look up toward the heater/fan assembly. Ensure no food pieces, foil, or foreign objects are jammed in the fan blades.
- Spin test: With the unit unplugged, gently rotate the fan blades with a non-metallic tool. They should spin freely without scraping. If stiff or jammed, the fan motor or bearings may be failing.
- Inspect wiring: Remove the housing to access the fan motor. Check that the motor connector is fully seated on the PCB and that wires are not pinched or burnt.
- Power test (advanced): During a brief powered test (only for trained users), verify that the fan receives voltage when a cook cycle starts. If voltage is present but the fan does not run, replace the fan motor. If no voltage is present, the control PCB is likely faulty.
- Reassemble and test: After clearing obstructions or replacing the fan motor, reassemble the unit, plug in, and test. If E6 persists, seek professional service for PCB diagnosis.
