How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the Tower air fryer before opening the control panel. Avoid static discharge to electronic boards.
- Access control area: Remove the screws securing the top or front control panel to expose the display PCB and main control PCB.
- Check ribbon cable: Locate the flat ribbon or multi-pin harness connecting the display to the main board. Gently unplug and replug it to clean the contacts. Ensure it is fully seated and not twisted or pinched.
- Inspect for damage: Look for cracked solder joints on the display PCB, burnt components, or corrosion on connectors. Any visible damage suggests the board should be replaced.
- Test after reseating: Reassemble the control panel, plug the unit back in, and test. If E8 clears, the issue was likely a poor connection.
- Board replacement: If E8 persists, either the display PCB or main control PCB is defective. Replacement of the entire control assembly is recommended and may require a professional technician.
