Possible Causes
Stuck touch keys on glass panel, Moisture ingress into control panel, Damaged touch sensor IC, Loose wiring between keypad and main PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the air fryer before cleaning or opening the control panel.
- Clean the panel: Wipe the touch panel with a slightly damp cloth, then dry thoroughly. Do not allow liquid to run into the edges of the panel.
- Dry out moisture: If the panel was exposed to steam or spills, leave the unit unplugged in a warm, dry place for 24 hours to allow moisture to evaporate.
- Power reset: After drying, plug the unit back in and test. Sometimes a full power cycle clears transient keypad errors.
- Internal inspection (advanced): Remove the control panel cover to inspect the keypad PCB and ribbon cable. Ensure the cable is firmly seated and there is no corrosion on connectors.
- Replace keypad assembly: If certain buttons remain unresponsive or ERR persists, the touch panel or keypad PCB is likely defective and should be replaced as a complete assembly.
