Possible Causes
Blocked air intake or exhaust vents, Fan motor not running, Excessive grease buildup around heater, Faulty temperature regulation on control PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn the air fryer off, unplug it, and allow it to cool completely before touching internal parts.
- Improve ventilation: Ensure the air fryer is not pushed against a wall or under low cabinets. Provide at least 10 cm clearance around all sides and above.
- Clean interior and vents: Remove the basket and drawer. Wipe away grease from the inner cavity, especially near the heater and fan guard. Use a soft brush to clear dust and grease from rear and side vents.
- Check fan operation: After cooling, plug in and start a short cycle. Listen for the fan. If it does not run, unplug and inspect the fan motor and wiring. Replace the fan motor if seized or non-functional.
- Avoid overloading: Do not overfill the basket; overcrowding can restrict airflow and cause overheating. Follow Tower's recommended maximum fill lines.
- Persistent H1: If the error recurs after cleaning and ensuring airflow, the control PCB's temperature regulation may be faulty. Seek professional service for diagnosis and possible board replacement.
