Possible Causes
Overheating of internal components due to blocked vents, Weak thermal fuse or thermostat opening prematurely, Loose mains connection on PCB heating under load, Failing main control PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit and let it cool fully before inspection.
- Improve ventilation:
- Ensure at least 4 inches (10 cm) clearance around the fryer.
- Do not operate under low cabinets or in confined spaces.
- Clean vents:
- Use a soft brush and vacuum to clear dust and grease from rear and bottom vents.
- Check cord and plug:
- Inspect for heat damage at the plug or cord entry.
- Internal checks (advanced):
- Open the housing and inspect the main PCB for heat discoloration around connectors.
- Tighten any loose spade connectors and reflow or replace burnt terminals.
- Test the high-limit thermostat and thermal fuse; replace if weak or opening at too low a temperature.
- Replace PCB if needed: If all connections and safety devices are good but the unit still cuts out, the main control PCB may be overheating internally and should be replaced.
