Basket is difficult to insert or remove; unit may not start because basket is not detected.

Safety: Unplug and cool the unit before working on the basket area.

• Clean rails and tracks:
  • Remove basket and pan; clean crumbs and grease from the slide rails and latch area.
• Inspect for warping:
  • Check if the basket or pan is visibly warped; replace if it no longer slides smoothly.
• Check latch:
  • Inspect the latch mechanism that engages the basket switch; ensure it moves freely and is not broken.
• Adjust rails (minor):
  • Gently bend metal rails back into alignment if slightly deformed.
• Replace parts: Replace the basket, pan, or latch assembly if damaged beyond minor adjustment.
