Possible Causes
Seized fan motor, Broken fan blade, Loose fan motor connector, Failed fan driver on main PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit and allow it to cool. The heater area can remain hot for some time.
- Check fan movement: Gently spin the fan blades from inside the cavity. If stiff or jammed, inspect for debris or a bent shroud.
- Inspect motor: Access the fan motor from the rear/top. Check for oil or grease contamination and burnt smell.
- Test motor: Measure resistance across the motor leads. An open circuit or very high resistance indicates a failed motor.
- Replace motor: Install a new Ultima Cosa convection fan motor and ensure the blade is secure and centered.
- Control board: If the motor is good but never receives power, the fan driver on the main PCB may be faulty and the board should be replaced.
