Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the Ultima Cosa air fryer and allow it to cool. Do not touch the fan blades immediately after use.
- Check fan movement: Remove the basket and look up toward the top interior. Gently spin the fan blades with a non-metal tool. They should rotate freely without grinding. If stiff or jammed, debris or a seized bearing is likely.
- Inspect for obstructions: Access the fan from the rear or top by removing the cover. Clear any food debris, foil pieces, or grease buildup around the fan shroud.
- Test motor: Disconnect the fan motor plug from the control board. Measure resistance across the motor leads. An open circuit indicates a failed motor. Compare to specifications if available.
- Check wiring and connectors: Ensure the fan harness is firmly seated on the main control PCB and that no pins are bent or corroded.
- Replace fan motor: If the motor is open or seized, remove the fan blade (usually a center nut or clip), unbolt the motor from the bracket, and install a new Ultima Cosa-compatible convection fan motor. Reinstall the blade and ensure it does not rub the shroud.
If the motor tests good but E6 persists, the fan drive circuit on the control board may be defective and the board should be replaced.
