Possible Causes
Bent basket guide rails, Warped basket from overheating or dishwasher damage, Food debris lodged in rail tracks, Deformed front housing from impact
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Allow the unit to cool before attempting to adjust metal parts.
Steps to improve basket fit:
- Clean rails: Remove the basket and pan. Clean the side rails and bottom support surfaces inside the fryer with a damp cloth to remove grease and crumbs.
- Inspect basket: Check the basket frame for warping or bent edges. If the basket is visibly twisted or out of square, replacement is recommended.
- Check rails: Look at the internal metal or plastic rails that guide the basket. Gently bend metal rails back into alignment using light pressure. Do not force plastic rails; they may crack.
- Test insertion: Slide the empty basket in and out several times to confirm smooth movement. If it still binds severely, replace the basket and/or inner housing components.
Tip: Avoid washing the basket in extremely hot dishwasher cycles if the manual advises hand washing; excessive heat can warp some components.
