Possible Causes

Damaged internal heat shield, Missing or displaced insulation, Blocked exhaust vents causing heat buildup, Operating too close to walls or under cabinets

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: If the exterior is too hot to touch comfortably, unplug the unit and allow it to cool. Keep flammable items away.

Steps to reduce exterior temperature:

  • Improve placement: Move the Ultrean air fryer to an open area with at least 5 inches (12 cm) clearance on all sides and above. Do not operate under low cabinets.
  • Check vents: Ensure all vents are clear of obstructions and dust.
  • Internal inspection: With the unit unplugged and cool, remove the bottom cover and inspect for missing or displaced reflective shields or insulation around the cooking chamber.
  • Replace damaged shields: If metal heat shields are warped or insulation is burnt, replace these components to restore proper thermal protection.

Warning: Excessive exterior heat can be a fire hazard; discontinue use if internal plastic parts show signs of melting.
