Possible Causes

Food debris stuck in fan blades, Bent fan blade, Worn fan motor bearings, Loose fan mounting screws

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the air fryer and let it cool before accessing the fan.

Steps to reduce fan noise:

  • Initial cleaning: Remove the basket and pan. Clean visible grease and debris from the fan guard and surrounding area.
  • Access fan assembly: Depending on the Ultrean model, remove the inner fan guard from inside the cooking chamber or remove the bottom cover and rear shroud to reach the fan.
  • Inspect blades: Check for stuck food pieces, foil, or warped plastic on the blades. Carefully remove obstructions and wipe blades clean.
  • Check for looseness: Tighten the nut or screw securing the fan blade to the motor shaft. Tighten any loose motor mounting screws.
  • Spin test: Rotate the fan by hand. If it feels rough, wobbly, or has excessive play, the motor bearings are likely worn and the fan motor assembly should be replaced.

Note: Do not bend metal blades aggressively; small adjustments only. Severely bent blades should be replaced to avoid imbalance and further noise.
