Possible Causes

Cracked touch panel, Moisture or grease under keypad overlay, Loose ribbon cable to main PCB, Failed touch controller on control panel

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the unit before removing the control panel.

Steps to restore button response:

  • Surface cleaning: Wipe the control panel with a slightly damp cloth and mild detergent, then dry thoroughly. Do not allow liquid to seep into the edges.
  • Power reset: Unplug for 5–10 minutes, then plug back in and test. Sometimes the touch controller can lock up.
  • Access panel: Remove screws securing the top/front housing to expose the touch panel and ribbon cable.
  • Check ribbon cable: Ensure the flat cable is fully seated in both the touch panel and main PCB connectors. Reseat it carefully.
  • Inspect panel: Look for cracks in the plastic overlay or signs of moisture ingress. If the panel is physically damaged or still unresponsive, replace the touch control panel assembly.

Note: Avoid using harsh cleaners or spraying liquid directly on the control panel; this can cause recurring keypad issues.
