Possible Causes
Firmware glitch in main control board, Faulty clock oscillator on PCB, Stuck start/pause button contact, Corrupted control board memory
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before any disassembly.
Steps to address non-advancing timer:
- Factory reset (if available): Consult the Ultrean manual for any reset procedure (e.g., holding specific buttons). Perform the reset and test again.
- Power cycle: Unplug the fryer for 10–15 minutes to fully discharge the board, then plug back in and test.
- Check buttons: Ensure the start/pause button is not stuck physically. Clean around the button area and press it several times to free it.
- Board replacement: If the timer still does not advance, the main control board timing circuit is likely defective and the board should be replaced.
Note: There are no user-serviceable timer components on the PCB; replacement is the practical repair.
