Possible Causes

Loose ribbon cable between touch panel and main PCB, Damaged touch control panel, Corroded keypad connector, Failed main control board interface

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the air fryer before removing the control panel or top cover.

Steps to resolve E7:

  • Power cycle: Unplug the unit for 5–10 minutes, then plug back in. If E7 reappears immediately, proceed to internal checks.
  • Access control panel: Remove screws securing the top housing or front control panel (depending on model). Carefully lift the panel to expose the ribbon cable or wiring harness.
  • Check ribbon cable: Ensure the flat ribbon cable from the touch panel is fully inserted into the connector on the main PCB. Gently remove and reinsert it, making sure the locking tabs are engaged.
  • Inspect for damage: Look for kinks, cracks, or burn marks on the ribbon. If the conductive traces appear damaged, the touch panel assembly should be replaced.
  • Clean contacts: If accessible, lightly clean the connector contacts with electronics cleaner and allow to dry before reconnecting.
  • Replace components: If reseating the cable does not clear E7, replace the touch control panel assembly. If a new panel does not resolve the error, the main control board is likely faulty and should be replaced.

Note: Handle the ribbon cable carefully; bending it sharply can cause permanent damage.
