Possible Causes
NTC temperature sensor out of calibration, Sensor dislodged from mounting point, Heater relay stuck closed, Failed main control board temperature control
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit and let it cool. Do not continue using an overheating appliance.
- Step 1 – Visual check: Inspect the interior for a dislodged or hanging temperature sensor probe near the heater. Re-secure it in its clip if loose.
- Step 2 – Compare temperatures: Use an oven thermometer placed in the basket to compare actual temperature to the set temperature. Large deviations indicate a control issue.
- Step 3 – Inspect control board and relay: Access the main control board and check for signs of a welded heater relay (burn marks, discoloration).
- Step 4 – Replace faulty parts: Replace a damaged or loose cabinet NTC temperature sensor. If the sensor is correctly mounted and functional but overheating persists, replace the main control board.
Warning: Overheating can damage internal plastics and pose a fire risk. Discontinue use until repaired.
