Possible Causes
Worn or damaged touch membrane, Moisture ingress under panel, Loose ribbon cable, Faulty key scan circuit on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the air fryer before working on the control panel.
- Step 1 – Clean surface: Wipe the touch panel with a slightly damp cloth and then dry thoroughly. Do not allow liquid to seep into edges.
- Step 2 – Power reset: Unplug for 5 minutes and test again.
- Step 3 – Access panel: Remove the front fascia to expose the touch control panel assembly and ribbon cable.
- Step 4 – Reseat cable: Disconnect and reconnect the ribbon cable to ensure a solid connection.
- Step 5 – Replace panel: If specific keys remain dead, replace the touch control panel assembly. If all keys are dead and a new panel does not fix it, replace the main control board.
Warning: Avoid using sharp objects on the touch panel; they can cut the membrane traces.
