• Step 1 – Inspect latch: Examine the latch hook and mating catch for wear, cracks, or missing pieces.
• Step 2 – Clean latch area: Remove any crumbs or grease that may prevent full engagement.
• Step 3 – Check spring action: Ensure the latch returns to its resting position when released. If it feels loose or does not spring back, replace the drawer latch assembly.
• Step 4 – Verify switch engagement: With the unit unplugged, insert the drawer and listen for the click of the door/basket microswitch. Adjust the latch or actuator if necessary.

Warning: A drawer that does not latch properly can interrupt cooking and may prevent the heater from shutting off correctly.
