Possible Causes
Exhaust NTC sensor open or short, Grease-clogged exhaust duct, Fan not moving enough air, Wiring damage near exhaust outlet
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit and allow it to cool. Exhaust components can be extremely hot.
- Step 1 – Check exhaust vents: Inspect the rear and top exhaust vents for grease buildup or obstructions. Clean thoroughly with a degreaser and soft brush.
- Step 2 – Access exhaust sensor: Remove the rear cover to locate the exhaust NTC temperature sensor mounted in or near the exhaust duct.
- Step 3 – Inspect and test sensor: Ensure the sensor is firmly mounted and its wires are intact. Test resistance at room temperature with a multimeter; compare to the cabinet sensor if they are the same type. An open or shorted reading indicates failure.
- Step 4 – Check airflow: Confirm that the convection fan is running at full speed during operation. Weak airflow can cause localized overheating at the exhaust.
- Step 5 – Replace components: Replace a defective exhaust NTC sensor. If the sensor is good but E10 persists, suspect the main control board or fan motor.
Warning: Do not operate the air fryer with blocked exhaust vents; this can lead to overheating and fire.
