Display shows E7 and the unit will not start; sometimes accompanied by a rapid beeping.

Safety first: Unplug the air fryer before accessing internal switches.

• Step 1 – Check basket alignment: Remove the basket and drawer, then reinsert firmly until you hear or feel a click. Ensure no food debris is blocking the rails or latch area.
• Step 2 – Inspect latch and rails: Examine the plastic latch on the drawer and the mating tab in the cabinet. Look for cracks, warping, or missing pieces that might prevent the switch from engaging.
• Step 3 – Locate the microswitch: With the unit unplugged, remove the side or bottom cover to access the basket/door safety microswitch. It is usually mounted near the front where the drawer slides in.
• Step 4 – Test the switch: Manually press the switch lever and check for a distinct click. Use a multimeter in continuity mode across the switch terminals while pressing and releasing. If continuity does not change, the switch is faulty.
• Step 5 – Check wiring: Ensure the switch connector is firmly attached and wires are not broken or pulled out.
• Step 6 – Replace components: Replace a defective door/basket microswitch or a broken drawer latch assembly. If the switch and latch are good but E7 persists, the main control board input circuit may be defective.

Warning: Never bypass the door/basket safety switch; it prevents operation with the drawer open.
