Step 1 – Clean and dry: If the panel was recently exposed to steam or spills, wipe it dry and let the unit sit unplugged for several hours to allow moisture to evaporate.
Step 2 – Access control panel: Remove the screws securing the front control fascia. Carefully lift it to expose the touch panel ribbon cable and connectors.
Step 3 – Reseat ribbon cable: Gently unplug and reinsert the ribbon cable between the touch panel and main control board, ensuring it is fully seated and locked.
Step 4 – Inspect for damage: Look for cracks in the touch panel, corrosion on connectors, or burnt spots on the board.
Step 5 – Replace faulty parts: If the touch panel is unresponsive or physically damaged, replace the touch control panel assembly. If the panel is good but E9 persists, replace the main control board.

Warning: Do not use solvents on the touch panel; they can damage the membrane and traces.

Display shows E9 and the unit may beep continuously; controls may be unresponsive.
