Possible Causes
Shorted heating element, Shorted fan motor, Damaged wiring harness, Control board overcurrent detection fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the air fryer immediately. Do not reset and continue using without inspection.
- Step 1 – Visual inspection: Remove the cover and inspect the heater, fan motor, and wiring for burn marks, melted insulation, or obvious shorts.
- Step 2 – Isolate components: Disconnect the heater and fan motor one at a time and test resistance. A very low resistance (near 0 Ω) to neutral or ground indicates a short.
- Step 3 – Replace shorted parts: Replace a shorted heating element assembly or convection fan motor as needed.
- Step 4 – Inspect harness: Repair or replace any damaged wiring harness sections using high-temperature wire and proper connectors.
- Step 5 – Control board: If no shorts are found but P2 persists, the main control board may have a faulty current-sense circuit and should be replaced.
Warning: Overcurrent conditions can be a fire hazard. Do not bypass fuses or protective devices.
