Persistent bad odor (rancid or chemical) from the air fryer even when not cooking.

• Step 1 – Deep clean: Remove the basket and drawer. Clean all accessible interior surfaces, including under the heater guard if removable, with warm soapy water and a soft brush.
• Step 2 – Inspect for melted plastic: Look for any foreign plastic items that may have melted inside and carefully remove them.
• Step 3 – Deodorize: Run the air fryer empty at 180°C (350°F) for 10–15 minutes after cleaning to burn off residual odors. Ensure good ventilation.
• Step 4 – Replace parts if needed: If odors persist and you find blistered or peeling non-stick surfaces, replace the affected basket or drawer.
