Shorted or out-of-range temperature sensor, Sensor not properly mounted in airflow, Stuck heater relay on control board, Grease buildup insulating sensor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit and let it cool.
Sensor and cavity:
- Clean the interior thoroughly, especially around the temperature sensor and heater shield, to remove grease that can affect temperature sensing.
- Verify the sensor is securely mounted and not touching the heater directly.
- Test the sensor resistance at room temperature and compare to specifications; replace if readings are abnormal.
Control board:
- If the heater remains on continuously during operation (even when set temperature is reached), the heater relay may be welded closed. Replace the main control board.
