Possible Causes
Basket not fully inserted, Faulty basket or door interlock switch, Defective Start button on keypad, Control board logic fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before internal checks.
External checks:
- Remove and firmly reinsert the basket until it clicks into place.
- Try different modes and times to rule out a programming issue. Perform a factory reset if the manual provides a procedure.
Interlock and keypad:
- Access the basket/door switch and test it with a multimeter for proper open/closed operation. Replace if defective.
- Test the Start button on the keypad for continuity or use the unit’s diagnostic mode (if available) to verify button function. Replace the keypad/UI panel if the Start key is unresponsive.
- If switches and keypad are good, the main control board may not be processing the start command and should be replaced.
