Possible Causes

Safety first: Unplug the air fryer.

Harness check:

Open the housing to access both the main power/control board and the UI/display board.
Inspect the multi-pin harness connecting the boards. Reseat both ends and ensure locking tabs engage.
Look for signs of arcing or discoloration on the connector pins.

Board replacement:

If reseating the harness does not clear E15, one of the boards is likely defective. In most cases, replacing the main control board is the first step.
If the problem persists after replacing the main board, replace the UI board as well.
