How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before removing the control panel.
Inspect UI connections:
- Remove the front bezel or top cover to access the display and keypad assembly.
- Locate the flat ribbon cable or harness connecting the UI board to the main control board.
- Disconnect and inspect the connectors for corrosion, bent pins, or contamination. Clean gently with electronic contact cleaner and allow to dry.
- Firmly reseat the ribbon cable, ensuring it is fully inserted and locked.
UI and board diagnosis:
- If some buttons work intermittently, the touch panel or keypad membrane may be failing; replace the UI panel assembly.
- If the UI panel looks good but E6 persists, the main control board may not be communicating correctly and should be replaced.
Note: Avoid spraying cleaners directly on the control panel; apply to a cloth first to prevent future moisture damage.
