Possible Causes

Failed convection fan motor, Obstructed fan blades, Loose fan motor wiring, Faulty fan driver circuit on control board

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the air fryer and wait for all internal parts to cool.

Fan inspection:

  • Remove the top or rear cover to access the convection fan assembly mounted near the heating element.
  • Check for food debris, foil, or warped components rubbing against the fan blades. Clear any obstructions.
  • Spin the fan by hand; it should rotate freely. If stiff, noisy, or seized, the motor bearings are likely worn and the motor should be replaced.
  • Inspect the fan motor wiring harness and connectors. Reseat any loose plugs and look for heat damage.

Electrical test:

  • With the unit reassembled enough for safe operation, and only if you are qualified to work with live voltage, check for power at the fan motor terminals when the unit is running.
  • If the motor receives proper voltage but does not run, replace the fan motor assembly.
  • If no voltage is present and wiring is intact, the fan driver on the control board is likely defective; replace the main control board.
