Possible Causes
Blown fuse in spur, Tripped circuit breaker, Faulty on/off switch on boiler, Failed main PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Only work on electrical components if you are competent. Otherwise, call an electrician or engineer.
- Check mains supply: Verify that the fused spur is switched on and the fuse (usually 3A) is intact. Replace with the correct rating if blown.
- Consumer unit: Check that the circuit breaker for the boiler circuit has not tripped. Reset if necessary.
- Boiler switch: Ensure the boiler's own on/off switch is in the ON position.
- Internal fuse: Some Ariston boilers have internal fuses on the main PCB. These should only be checked and replaced by a qualified engineer.
- PCB failure: If power is present at the boiler terminals but the display is dead, the PCB may need replacement.
