Possible Causes
Defective return NTC sensor, Loose sensor clip or poor contact, Damaged wiring harness, PCB input fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Isolate power before accessing internal components.
- Locate return NTC: Find the return temperature sensor on the return pipe. Ensure it is firmly attached and properly clipped.
- Inspect wiring: Check for damaged insulation, loose connectors, or corrosion. Reseat connectors at both the sensor and PCB.
- Resistance test: With power off, disconnect the sensor and measure resistance. Compare to Ariston's chart. Replace if readings are out of range.
- Replace sensor: Fit a new genuine Ariston return NTC sensor if faulty. Ensure good thermal contact.
- Reset and monitor: Restore power, reset the boiler, and monitor for recurrence of 112. Persistent faults may indicate PCB issues requiring professional attention.
