Possible Causes

Leaking gasket on Attack primary heat exchanger, Dripping automatic air vent on top of boiler, Faulty safety relief valve discharging, Loose union on hydraulic block

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Switch off power and close the isolation valves to the boiler if possible. Place a container or towels under the leak to prevent damage.

Steps:

  • Identify leak source: Remove the front cover and carefully inspect around the pump, heat exchanger connections, automatic air vent, and safety valve outlet.
  • Tighten unions: If the leak is from a compression or union joint, gently tighten with an appropriate spanner. Do not overtighten.
  • Check safety valve: If water is dripping from the safety valve discharge pipe, system pressure may be too high or the valve may be faulty. Verify cold pressure is not above the recommended level.
  • Air vent: If the automatic air vent cap is loose and leaking, tighten it slightly or replace the vent.

Technician: Leaks from the heat exchanger or hydraulic block usually require part replacement by an Attack service engineer.
