Possible Causes
Blown fuse in spur, Tripped circuit breaker, Faulty on/off switch on boiler, Failed PCB power supply
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Before checking fuses, ensure your hands are dry and the area is safe.
- Check mains supply: Verify that other electrical appliances on the same circuit work. Reset any tripped MCBs or RCDs in the consumer unit.
- Inspect fused spur: If the boiler is supplied via a fused spur, switch off, open it, and check/replace the fuse with the correct rating (often 3A).
- Check boiler switch: Ensure the boiler's own on/off switch is in the ON position.
- Engineer inspection: If there is confirmed power at the boiler but no display, a technician should test the internal fuse(s) and PCB and replace the board if necessary.
