Possible Causes
Leaking pump housing or seals, Corroded primary heat exchanger, Dripping automatic air vent, Leaking compression joints on Biasi manifold
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power and close the boiler's isolation valves. Place a container or towels under the boiler to catch drips.
- Identify leak source: Remove the front cover (if user-removable) and use a torch to trace where the water originates—top, sides, or bottom of the hydraulic block.
- Check pressure relief discharge: If water is coming from the pressure relief valve pipe, the system may be over-pressurised or the valve may be passing.
- Tighten accessible joints: Gently nip up any slightly loose compression fittings on visible pipework, taking care not to overtighten.
- Engineer repair: For leaks from the pump, heat exchanger, or internal manifolds, a qualified engineer should replace seals, gaskets, or the affected component and then refill and bleed the system.
