Possible Causes

Faulty flow temperature sensor (NTC), Loose or corroded NTC wiring, Scale build-up around sensor pocket, Faulty PCB temperature input

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Turn off power and allow the boiler to cool. Close isolation valves if removing sensors from the hydraulic block.

  • Power cycle: Turn the boiler off and back on to see if the error clears temporarily, indicating an intermittent connection.
  • Inspect NTC wiring: Locate the flow NTC on the primary flow pipe or hydraulic block of the Biasi boiler. Check the plug connection to the PCB and look for damaged insulation.
  • Check resistance (engineer): A technician should measure the NTC resistance at room temperature and compare it to Biasi's resistance/temperature chart. A shorted or open sensor must be replaced.
  • Descale sensor pocket: If accessible, remove the sensor and check for heavy limescale. Clean the pocket to ensure good thermal contact.
