How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Isolate power and water. Allow the boiler to cool before working on the hydraulic block.
- Symptom check: Note whether you get heating but no hot water, or hot water but no heating. This helps identify diverter position issues.
- Exercise the valve: Switch repeatedly between DHW and CH demand (e.g., open/close hot tap, turn room thermostat on/off) and listen for the diverter motor moving. Sometimes this can free a slightly stuck valve.
- Inspect actuator: On Biasi combis, the diverter motor is usually mounted on the hydraulic block. Check for signs of leakage or corrosion around it.
- Engineer service: A technician can remove and clean or replace the diverter cartridge, test the motor, and check any position switches or feedback to the PCB.
