Boiler intermittently displays “Err 14” and may reboot or lose settings

Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker before inspecting electrical connections.

• Check service switch and breaker: Ensure the boiler switch is on and the breaker is not tripping. If the breaker trips repeatedly, do not reset; call an electrician or technician.
• Inspect wiring connections: Remove the control panel cover and check that line, neutral, and ground wires are tight at the terminal block and control.
• Look for moisture: Check for signs of leaks above the control (from piping, relief valve, or condensate). Dry any moisture and correct the leak source.
• Use surge protection: If your area has frequent power fluctuations, consider having a surge protector or line conditioner installed by a professional.
• Replace control if needed: If Err 14 persists and other causes are ruled out, the internal power supply on the control board may be failing and require replacement.
