Possible Causes
Faulty DHW flow switch or turbine, Stuck diverter valve, DHW sensor failure, Incorrect wiring to DHW demand terminals
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power and water supply before removing DHW components.
- Check DHW demand: Open a hot water tap fully and observe the boiler display. It should indicate a DHW call. If not, the flow sensor or wiring may be faulty.
- Inspect DHW flow sensor: Locate the flow sensor/turbine on the cold water inlet to the Crown combi boiler. Check wiring and clean any accessible screens.
- Diverter valve: If the boiler heats radiators when DHW is requested, the diverter valve may be stuck. A technician should inspect and replace or rebuild it.
- Sensor check: Verify the DHW temperature sensor connection as described in the E11 section.
