Boiler is very noisy with a grinding or rattling sound from the fan area

Safety: Turn off power and gas before opening the combustion compartment.

• Inspect fan: Remove the front panel and visually inspect the combustion fan on the Crown boiler. Look for broken blades or foreign objects.
• Check mounting: Ensure all fan mounting screws are tight and the housing is not vibrating against other components.
• Debris removal: Carefully remove any loose debris from the fan area without bending the blades.
• Replace if needed: If the fan still makes grinding noises, the motor bearings are likely failing and the entire assembly should be replaced by a technician.
