How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power and gas before opening the combustion chamber.
- Clean flame sensor: Remove and clean the flame sensor rod with fine abrasive pad. Ensure the ceramic insulator is not cracked.
- Inspect burner: Check the Crown burner surface for dust, lint, or corrosion. Lightly vacuum around the burner without damaging the mesh.
- Check grounding: Verify the boiler's ground wire is securely attached to the chassis and that the supply outlet is properly grounded.
- Reset and observe: Restore power and gas, reset the boiler, and observe ignition. If E13 persists, a technician should check combustion settings and replace the flame sensor if needed.
