Possible Causes

Leaking pump seals, Leaking automatic air vent, Corroded heat exchanger, Loose compression fittings inside boiler

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Switch off power and close the system isolation valves. Water inside the boiler can damage electrical components.

  • Inspect base tray: Remove the front cover and check the base of the CTC boiler for standing water. Mop up with absorbent cloths.
  • Locate leak source: With the system repressurised (if safe), visually inspect around the pump, automatic air vent, heat exchanger connections, and manifold for drips.
  • Tighten fittings: Carefully tighten any accessible compression joints that are weeping. Do not overtighten plastic components.
  • Replace faulty components (technician): If the leak is from the pump, AAV, or heat exchanger, replace the affected part following CTC service instructions.
  • Dry electronics: If water has contacted the PCB or wiring, allow to dry fully and inspect for damage. Replace any corroded components.
