Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Shut down the boiler, isolate it from the system, and allow it to cool and depressurize completely before working on doors.
- Inspect door area: Once cool, visually inspect the front and rear doors for signs of water tracks, rust, or gasket extrusion.
- Tighten door bolts: Using a torque wrench, tighten door bolts in a crisscross pattern to the torque specified in the Danstoker manual. Do not overtighten.
- Replace gasket if needed: If the gasket is brittle, cracked, or flattened, remove the door, clean the sealing surfaces with a wire brush, and install a new Danstoker-compatible door gasket. Ensure even seating before tightening.
- Refill and test: Refill the system, vent air, and slowly bring the boiler up to temperature while monitoring for leaks.
If leakage persists, the door or shell sealing surface may be warped and should be evaluated by a boiler specialist.
