Possible Causes
Incorrectly adjusted gas pressure regulator, Stuck gas regulator in Danstoker gas train, Faulty high gas pressure switch, For oil: blocked return line causing high pump pressure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power and close the main fuel valve. Only licensed gas/oil technicians should adjust regulators.
- Check pressure readings: Compare actual gas pressure on the downstream gauge of the Danstoker gas train with the design value. For oil, check pump discharge pressure.
- Inspect regulator: Ensure the gas pressure regulator vent is not blocked. Look for signs of damage or contamination. Do not disassemble the regulator unless qualified.
- Verify high-pressure switch: Inspect the high gas pressure switch and its sensing line. Confirm the setpoint is correct and that the switch is not stuck. Replace if it trips at normal pressures.
- Reset and test: After any corrections, reopen fuel valves, restore power, and reset the boiler. Monitor pressure during startup.
If E06 persists, a professional must recalibrate or replace the regulator and safety switches.
