Possible Causes
Blocked chimney or flue, Faulty draft sensor or differential pressure switch, Incorrectly set flue damper, Failed induced-draft fan (if fitted on Danstoker system)
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off boiler and allow flue to cool. Risk of flue gas spillage; ensure good ventilation.
- Inspect chimney and flue: Check for visible obstructions at the flue terminal. If safe, open inspection doors and look for soot buildup or collapsed liners. Have a chimney professional clean if needed.
- Check draft sensor: Locate the draft sensor or differential pressure switch connected to the flue. Inspect tubing for blockages and ensure correct orientation. Replace if readings are erratic.
- Verify flue damper position: Ensure any motorized or manual flue dampers are fully open during operation and correctly interlocked with the Danstoker control.
- Induced-draft fan (if present): Confirm the fan runs and that its speed control (VFD) is functioning. Listen for unusual noises indicating bearing failure.
Persistent E10 requires a combustion specialist to measure draft and adjust the flue system.
