Possible Causes
System leak in pipework or radiators, Faulty pressure sensor or pressure switch, Closed isolation valves on Danstoker boiler connections, Failed automatic fill valve
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Allow boiler to cool before adding water. Avoid thermal shock.
- Check pressure gauge: Read the boiler’s pressure gauge. If below the recommended cold fill pressure, open the system fill valve and slowly add water until the correct pressure is reached.
- Inspect for leaks: Walk the system and look for visible leaks at valves, radiators, and around the Danstoker boiler connections. Repair any leaks before refilling.
- Verify isolation valves: Ensure all valves on the boiler flow and return are fully open.
- Check pressure sensor: Inspect wiring to the pressure sensor or switch. If the gauge shows normal pressure but E11 remains, the sensor may be faulty and require replacement.
After restoring pressure, reset the boiler. If pressure drops again, a technician should locate hidden leaks or expansion vessel issues.
