Possible Causes

Open or shorted return sensor (NTC/PT100), Damaged sensor cable, Loose terminals on Danstoker controller input, Sensor out of calibration

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Isolate power before accessing the control panel or sensors.

  • Inspect wiring: Trace the cable from the return temperature sensor on the Danstoker boiler return connection to the controller. Tighten any loose terminals and look for cuts or abrasions.
  • Measure resistance: With power off, disconnect the sensor and measure its resistance with a multimeter. Compare to the manufacturer’s resistance/temperature table. Replace if readings are out of range.
  • Check for shorts: Ensure the sensor cable is not pinched or shorted to ground.
  • Controller input: If a known-good sensor still shows E13, the controller input may be faulty and require replacement.

After replacing or reconnecting, clear the fault and verify correct temperature readings.
