Possible Causes
Failed circulator motor, Seized pump, Blown fuse on circulator output, Loose wiring at pump terminals
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power before touching the circulator or electrical connections. Pumps and piping may be hot.
- 1. Listen and feel for operation: When there is a call for heat, place a hand lightly on the circulator housing. A running pump will usually vibrate slightly and feel warm.
- 2. Check electrical supply: Verify that the circulator is receiving power from the Energy Kinetics control (requires a meter; if you are not trained, leave this to a technician). Inspect for blown fuses on the control board.
- 3. Inspect isolation valves: Ensure any isolation valves around the circulator are open to allow flow.
If the pump is powered but not moving water, it may be seized and require replacement.
