Possible Causes
Open or shorted temperature sensor, Damaged sensor wiring, Loose connector at Energy Manager board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power before opening the control panel or touching wiring.
- 1. Locate the sensor: Find the boiler temperature sensor (often a thermistor inserted into a well on the Energy Kinetics boiler). Inspect the cable for cuts or abrasions.
- 2. Check connections: At the Energy Manager or digital control board, ensure the sensor plug is fully seated and that there is no corrosion on the terminals.
- 3. Inspect sensor at the well: Confirm the sensor is fully inserted into the temperature well and secured.
If the error persists, the sensor should be tested with an ohmmeter and replaced if out of specification. Board input faults require professional service.
