Possible Causes
Failed zone valve motor, Stuck valve body, Loose end-switch wiring, Incorrect 24V supply
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power before working on zone valves. Pipes may be hot.
- 1. Identify affected zone: Determine which zone is not heating and locate its zone valve on the manifold near the Energy Kinetics boiler.
- 2. Check manual lever: Many zone valves have a manual open lever. Move it to the open position and see if heat begins to flow to that zone. If heat flows manually, the motor or control side is suspect.
- 3. Inspect wiring: Verify that the zone valve motor and end-switch wires are secure at the zone control panel or Energy Manager.
If the valve remains stuck or the motor does not respond, the zone valve head or complete valve assembly may need replacement.
